For over 20 years campers just like you have been coming to Sauble Beach and have made White Sands their base camp. There’s nothing better than hanging with your squad, playing outdoor games, hitting up the beach and staring at the stars all weekend long.

Amenities
At White Sands we pride ourselves in the craftsmanship of our facilities. Our buildings are all handmade timber frame and stone structures, our washrooms are new and clean, and our wood is guaranteed to burn nice and hot. Our store is always well stocked with the supplies you need. Ask about our special “Wet Nappies”.

Rules

As broken glass and bare feet do not mix, we ask that ALL beer brought to White Sands comes in cans. So no glass bottles, except for large liquor and cooler bottles.

How can I make a reservation?

What Time Can I check in?
Fridays – Noon to midnight.
Saturdays – 8am to midnight.
Sunday to Thursday – 6pm to 10pm, but you can set up any time after noon.
Holiday Mondays – 6pm to 10pm.
Do we have to reserve for the whole long weekend?
Reservations for long weekends must be for two (Saturday to Monday) or three nights (Friday to Monday). We do not accept one night reservations. Please note that this year, Canada Day Long weekend will be from Friday to Sunday or Thursday to Sunday.
What is the site deposit for, and do we get it back?
The site deposit is for site cleanliness and damage to property. This does not pay for part of your reservation. If you are respectful to the area you will get it back. Upon reserving your site, you are required to pay $100 towards your site deposit. The remaining site deposit balance will be due upon arrival.
Site deposit fees are as follows:
- 2-10 campers = $100 deposit
- 11-20 campers = $200 deposit
- 21-30 campers = $300 deposit
How does check-out work?
In order to receive your deposit back, your site must be checked for cleanliness and no damage to the property.
What are the methods of payment?
We are cash only. An ATM is available on site in the General Store.
Can we reserve specific sites in the social camping area?
Social camping is first come first serve. You select your camping location once you arrive.
Is there a limit of how many people we can reserve for?
There are no limits on how many people you can reserve. But if you group is larger than 30 people, give us a call 519-534-2781
Is there a limit for tents per site?
There are no restrictions on the number of tents per site
Is there a limit of cars per site?
There are no restrictions on the number of vehicles per site
Are visitors allowed?
No, but Sauble Beach is an excellent location to meet up with friends.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, we love our furry friends, but they must be leashed.
Is it true that we have to pay for showers?
Yes, the showers are token operated. $1 tokens get you 4 minutes (This helps us with water conservation). We suggest grabbing your tokens when you check in, you can always return them when you leave if you don’t use them.
Are generators allowed?
Due to by-laws, generators are not permitted in the park.
How far away is White Sands from downtown Sauble Beach?
We are a 5 minute drive (10km) from downtown Sauble.
Are there hydro hook ups?
There are only hydro hook ups in the family camping area. All of group camping is unserviced.
Does the bottle rule apply to only beer?
Yes, this rule is only for beer bottles. Liquor and cooler bottles are allowed on the premises.
Is there a quiet time?
Social camping – No, you can always use your outside voices, but please be respectful and don’t piss off your neighbours. Leave your big speakers at home; it’s not a rave. Give one of these speakers a try.



Family camping – Yes, we ask that our campers be respectful and be quiet after 11pm.
Does the campground have BBQs?
There are no BBQ’s on site, but there are fire pits on every site and you can borrow a grill from the office. BBQs are also permitted.
How much is firewood?
Our wood is $13/bag or $15/wheel barrel. We have some nice wood.
